How to change Wi-Fi password on PLDT?

Step 1: Visit this URL in your mobile or desktop browser: https://192.168.1.1.

Step 2: Type “admin” in the username section and “1234” for the password.

Step 3: This next step may vary depending on your PLDT modem model. But essentially, you want to find the "Wireless" or "Wi-Fi" settings, then select the Wi-Fi name you want to change.
In our case, we want to change the "WLAN 5GHz". Click on this wireless network name and then on "Security".

Step 4: Now in the "Pre-Shared Key" section, type in the new password you want to use. Click "Apply Changes" and the modem should reboot. Go to the desktop / mobile Wi-Fi settings and look for the Wi-Fi name. Make sure you click "Forget this Network" so you can enter your new password.

Why can’t I access my PLDT Wi-Fi admin page?

Even with the correct URL, chances are you won't be able to connect to your Wi-Fi admin page because you aren't connected to the router in the first place. Make sure you do this and that you are not connected to an external modem or Wi-Fi extender.

Why can’t I sign in to my PLDT Wi-Fi modem’s admin settings?

Make sure to use the username and password printed on the bottom of your "PLDT Wi-Fi" router. If that didn't work, you've probably already changed it. As a workaround, you can completely reset the router by pressing the reset button.

Don't be alarmed, it should be normal. Tap "Advanced" in the bottom corner, then click "Proceed to 192.168.1.1 (not secure)". It should take you directly to the admin page.

Why 192.168.1.1 doesn’t work?

If you cannot access your PLDT Wi-Fi administrator page using the default URL 192.168.1.1, your network may have a different private IP address. To check this, you can follow the steps below:

Windows: Open the Windows search bar and search for "cmd" > Type "ipconfig" in the command line. Your IP address must be in the "Default Gateway". Normally it should be 192.168.X.X.

Mac: Go to System Preferences > Network > Wi-Fi > Advanced > TCP/IP.
