GCash now has a new version called GCash Jr. for minors aged 7-17 that gives them access to digital financial services and promotions.

Currently, GCash is only available to customers over the age of 18. GCash Jr., meanwhile, is available for ages 7-17. GCash aims to empower minors to learn to be financially aware and responsible from an early age while giving them access to features such as online payments and Pay QR for their K-Pop products, buy Charge for their credits game and skins and GLife for food deals and the latest fashion trends.

GCash Jr. e-wallets have a limit of PHP 50,000 and a limit of PHP 10,000 for daily incoming and outgoing transactions.

Similar to regular GCash accounts, GCash Jr. follows a strict know-your-customer (KYC) process. Minors only need to present a photo of one of the following IDs: student card, passport or ID card.

Their parents will also need to enter their fully verified GCash account for reference and will be asked to take a selfie with the ID submitted by their child.

GCash Jr. users must also submit a photo of their birth certificate. After fulfilling all requirements, users will receive a confirmation SMS as fully verified GCash Jr. users
